Registrations Open for the 2026 Directors’ Fortnight Edition

The Quinzaine des Cinéastes (Directors’ Fortnight), one of the most prestigious parallel sections of the Cannes Film Festival, has officially opened submissions for its 2026 edition. Renowned for discovering and celebrating new voices in world cinema, the event invites filmmakers to submit their works in the short film, medium-length film, and feature film categories.

Submission Deadlines

Submissions open on November 3, 2025, and will close on the following dates:

  • Feature films: March 13, 2026

  • Medium-length films: March 2, 2026

  • Short films: March 2, 2026

Selection and Organization

Film selection is carried out under the responsibility of the General Delegate of the Quinzaine, appointed by the Board of Directors of the Société des Réalisatrices et Réalisateurs de Films (SRF).
It is important to note that the other official sections of the Cannes Film Festival — Competition, Out of Competition, Un Certain Regard, as well as the Semaine de la Critique and ACID — are managed by separate organizations.
