About Caligari

Caligari (originally Caligari Magazine) was founded in 2015 by Mauro Lukasievicz, who remains its editor to this day. Since its inception, Caligari has established itself as a leading outlet specializing in auteur and independent cinema, with a carefully curated editorial line that prioritizes quality, critical perspective, and the discovery of new cinematic voices.

Over the years, Caligari has gained strong international recognition, becoming a space for dissemination and reflection on contemporary cinema. Its pages feature interviews with acclaimed directors, as well as articles, reviews, and essays that explore film from a unique and committed perspective.

The project is not limited to digital publishing: Caligari is also actively involved in covering international film festivals, and in organizing events, screenings, talks, and gatherings under the Caligari Autores label. In addition, it has become a media partner of major festivals around the world, strengthening its role as a bridge between creators, critics, and audiences.

Today, Caligari continues to expand its community and reaffirm its mission to support, promote, and celebrate independent cinema in all its forms.
