CPH:INDUSTRY 2026 announces its winners and surpasses €100,000 in awards, with a strong international presence
The professional market of CPH:DOX, CPH:INDUSTRY, announced the winners of its awards at a ceremony held at the Kunsthal Charlottenborg, consolidating its role as one of the leading platforms for fostering contemporary documentary and non-fiction cinema.
In this edition, projects from France, Morocco, the United States, Poland, Ukraine and beyond shared more than €100,000 in awards, reflecting the geographical and aesthetic diversity of today’s audiovisual landscape.
The biggest winners were two projects supported by Eurimages New Lab. On the one hand, the French-Moroccan co-production Don’t Let the Sun Go Up on Me, directed by Asmae El Moudir, received the Eurimages New Lab Outreach Award, worth €30,000, for its bold visual and narrative approach. On the other, the French project Cosmofonia, by Véréna Paravel, won the Eurimages New Lab Innovation Award (€20,000), standing out for its sensory exploration and its ability to push the boundaries of cinematic language.
In the CPH:FORUM section, the Sandbox Films Science Pitch Prize, valued at $25,000, was awarded to Matrescence, by Kathryn Ferguson, for its innovative blend of scientific rigor and artistic vision around a universally relevant subject. Meanwhile, the Al Jazeera Documentary Channel Co-Production Award (€15,000) went to Everything Is Red and Grey, by Shourideh C. Molavi and Shrouq Alaila, a project addressing urgent global issues.
Other notable recognitions included the Jacob Burns Film Center Award for The Calling, by Beniamino Barrese; the Rise and Shine Award for My Father the Iceman, by Łukasz Kowalski; and the Unifrance & Titrafilm Doc Award for Children of the Moon Land, by Roman Ďuriš.
In the immersive section, Still Point, Turning World, by Ben Joseph Andrews, received the Onassis ONX Award, while Mourning Glory, by Mathius Scibor, picked up both the NewImages Festival Award and the DOK Leipzig Award. Finally, the Millennium Docs Against Gravity Award was given to the Ukrainian project My School Is Seized, by Halyna Lavrinets.
Beyond the awards, the 2026 edition of the market also highlighted a new generation of projects in development and international circulation, including titles such as Día de caza (2026), Il bene comune (2026), Amarga Navidad (2026), Les Rayons et les Ombres (2026), Notte prima degli esami 3.0 (2026), as well as recent productions like La Danse des Renards (2025), L’Étrangère (2025), Las corrientes (2025), Sauvons les meubles (2025), A Safe Place (2025) and Clean (2026).
