Berlinale Co-Production Market opens call for its 23rd edition, to be held from February 14 to 17, 2026

The Berlinale Co-Production Market has opened its call for project submissions, which will remain available until September 17. The 23rd edition of this international market, part of the Berlin International Film Festival, will take place from February 14 to 17, 2026.

The event, aimed at fostering international partnerships in film and audiovisual co-production, offers different participation opportunities. Producers from around the world can submit feature film projects for the Official Selection, as well as drama series projects for the Co-Pro Series Pitch and Networking, with applications open until October 1. Meanwhile, the Talent Project Market, designed for emerging producers, will accept submissions until September 3, while the Books at Berlinale program will open registration between September and October.

In addition to producers, the market welcomes investors, sales agents, distributors, representatives of cultural institutions and organizations, as well as television networks interested in exploring new projects. Their applications can be submitted between early November and early December.

In total, 25 feature films and 10 drama series will be selected for the Co-Pro Series Pitch and Networking, scheduled for February 17, 2026. The Talent Project Market will choose 10 emerging producers, while Books at Berlinale will showcase 10 novels to an audience of producers.

The selected projects will be announced in mid-January 2026, when the official catalogue will also be published with the full program. According to the organizers, around 1,500 one-to-one meetings will be arranged to connect industry players based on their specific interests and proposals.
