The Venice International Film Festival presents on Festival Scope, free and online, an exclusive selection of short films

Festival Scope takes center stage once again with a new edition of Venice Sala Web, an initiative that this year features 14 short films: 13 from the Orizzonti competition and one out of competition. The event offers audiences around the world the opportunity to discover innovative works online, through the Festival Scope platform, as part of the Official Selection of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival. The films will be available with limited tickets starting at 6:00 p.m. on the day of their official screening at the Lido and will remain accessible until September 30.

For the past fourteen years, La Biennale di Venezia has successfully organized this initiative, establishing Sala Web as an exclusive space to discover world-premiere short films simultaneously with their official presentations. This edition will showcase works from countries as diverse as Argentina, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, New Zealand, Nigeria, Sweden, Taiwan, Ukraine, and the United States, directed by emerging filmmakers who bring forward innovative aesthetics and unique expressive styles.

In addition, for audiences in Italy, subscribers to MYmovies ONE and Biennale Cinema Channel will have access to 22 unmissable world premieres: feature films developed within Biennale College Cinema—the prestigious international workshop for micro-budget filmmaking—and titles from Giornate degli Autori, the independent sidebar section of the festival, available for streaming until September 11.

This year, Caligari joins as an official media partner, reinforcing its commitment to supporting independent cinema and offering audiences a privileged window into the new voices shaping the international film landscape.
