The Annecy International Animation Film Festival has opened the call for entries for its 2026 edition

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival has opened the call for entries for the Official Selection of its upcoming edition, inviting creators from around the world to submit their works. Submissions are now open and have two main deadlines: until 15 February 2026 at 23:59 (UTC+01:00) for short films, graduation films, TV productions, and commissioned works, and until 15 March 2026 at 23:59 (UTC+01:00) for the feature film category. Immersive works, meanwhile, will open their submission period in early December.

This year, the festival is introducing for the first time a submission fee, which will cover the administrative and technical costs of the process. It is a flat rate, valid for the entire registration regardless of the submission date or category, and it is non-refundable. The established fees are €100 + VAT for feature films, €30 + VAT for short films, €50 + VAT for TV productions, €30 + VAT for commissioned works, €30 + VAT for immersive projects, and €10 + VAT for graduation films.

The organisation noted that between November and April of the previous cycle it received more than 4,000 submissions from around the world, including shorts, features, TV projects, commissioned works, and immersive pieces — a reflection of the festival’s sustained growth and the need to adjust its management process. The full terms and conditions for each category will be made available soon and should be consulted before submitting a work.
