It was announced that eight projects have been selected for the debut of the Audiovisual Industry-in-Focus Laboratory

Eight projects have been selected for the first edition of the Audiovisual Industry-in-Focus Laboratory, a program promoted by the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires aimed at women, trans, and non-binary people in the audiovisual sector. The initiative covers films and series, both fiction and documentary, as well as animation, with the goal of ensuring federal representation.

The selected projects are: Azul brillante (Abril Sanz and Paula Martel), Cuando éramos reyes (Maxine Swann and Julieta Lande), Cuando llueva tendrás un río (Romina Vlachoff and Lucía Alcain), Danila (Danila De Felippo and María Vacas), Farsa violenta, en dos actos (Adriana Vior and Vanina Catania), Las ambiciones de Elsa (Tomasina Carpano and Laura Litvinoff), Mishis Star Espaciales (Lissandro Cottone and Giuliana Capricchioso), and Piel de durazno (Hebe Estrabou and María Eugenia Ferrer). The alternates are Lo ideal (Martina Matzkin and Rocío Pichirili) and Plan Paka Wara (Luciana Mazza and Daniela Enríquez).

The creative pairs come from Río Negro, Chaco, La Plata, La Rioja, and the City of Buenos Aires. The projects will take part in mentorships and in an in-person pitch session in Buenos Aires. Two of them will receive financial support of ten million pesos each.

The program is carried out with the collaboration of the Argentine Chamber of the Film Industry and Netflix. The jury was made up of representatives from the organizing institutions, who evaluated narrative approaches, regional diversity, and production feasibility.
