ARCHÉ opens its international call for auteur film projects in development within the framework of Doclisboa
The ARCHÉ – Space for Thought and Creative Development programme has opened its international call aimed at auteur film projects currently in the writing or production stages. The initiative, organized by Apordoc – Portuguese Documentary Association within the framework of the Doclisboa festival, is supported by the Ibermedia Programme.
The submission period runs from April 1 to April 30, until 11:59 PM (GMT+1), and is open to Ibero-American filmmakers interested in developing projects with a strong authorial vision. The organization reminds applicants to carefully read the official programme regulations before submitting their applications.
Submissions must be made exclusively through the Eventival platform and must include a project dossier in PDF format of up to eight pages, written in Portuguese, Spanish, or English. Required materials include the project title, synopsis, a director’s statement with references to the visual approach, information on the current stage of development and the project’s needs, a statement of intent, as well as biographical notes of the director, producer, and production company, if applicable. Links to previous works are also requested.
For projects in the editing stage or presented as a rough cut, applicants must provide a link to the work-in-progress with subtitles in English or in one of the accepted languages (Portuguese or Spanish). If selected, participants will be required to provide a version subtitled in English.
The organization stated that submissions that do not meet the established requirements will not be considered, and assured that all submitted data and materials will be treated confidentially within the programme.
